WICB Comment on Hall Statement
Hall told the Press Conference that the Stanford Board was frustrated over the use of Stanford funding by the WICB.
But in a strongly-worded statement at its meeting in Antigua today (Sunday), the WICB dismissed Hall’s comments as wreckless, baseless and grossly inaccurate.
The Board said it was with great shock and amazement that it noted Hall’s references to fixed deposits and utilization of funds provided by the Stanford Group in non-cricketing matters.
The WICB pointed out that contrary to the impression conveyed by Hall’s comments, the Board has, to date, received $US 2 Million from the Stanford Group for the sanctioning of their domestic tournament over the last two years.
