Adams appointed JCA Technical Director
KINGSTON, Jamaica -- Former West Indies captain Jimmy Adams has been appointed Technical Director of the development programmes of the Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA). He takes up the position from December 1.
In making the announcement, Paul Campbell, new President of the JCA, said the former left-handed batsman would have lead responsibility for the entire coaching programme.
“There was a real desire from Jimmy Adams to really be a part of the process to raise the standard and quality of Jamaica’s cricket,” Campbell said. “In a nutshell, Jimmy wanted it and was eager to serve, and we really wanted to have someone like a Jimmy to achieve common ground.”
The 40-year-old, who played 54 Tests and 127 One-Day Internationals for West Indies during his career, said he was looking forward to the new challenge.
